Looking for something different to do in Spring Hill and help support two local groups at the same time? You can do both at the Sixth Annual Evening of Wine and Music to be held Friday April 11th from 7-10 pm at UAW Local 1853 Union Hall in Spring Hill. (BUY TIX NOW!)

Once again Station Wine and Spirits will be helping bring together all the pieces to make the event successful. Under the new ownership of Randy Wilkes Station Wine and Spirits continues to be an ambassador into the community. “I knew when I bought the store that this would be something that I would want to continue. It supports two great groups and allows people a chance to taste some great wine and local food,” said Wilkes.

The two worthy groups this year’s event will support are the Spring Hill Arts Center as well as the band boosters from Page High School. "We appreciate just about any opportunity to raise funds,” said Page High School Band Director Erick Harris. A lot of our brass instruments need replacing so when Station Wine and Spirits invited our parents to participate in this, we jumped at the opportunity. We've never been involved with an event like this and are looking forward to it. We'd really appreciate the community supporting SHAC and the Page High School Band the evening of April 11th."

SHAC president Joe Leavitt is excited to once again be involved in the event. “In the past this has been a great fundraiser for us and we are hopeful that this year’s event will help SHAC as we look towards building our own facility in the future,” said Leavitt.

In addition to wines and spirits provided by Station Wine and Spirits local restaurants will once again be providing tasty samplings for the tasters as well. “This is an event where the whole city seems to get involved. Everyone seems to understand the impact that this event can have on SHAC and the Page High School Band Boosters,” said Leavitt.

This years venue, for the second year in a row, is the ballroom at UAW Local 1853 will provide tasters a larger event than they have enjoyed in the past. “The union hall has a gorgeous ballroom and last year it really took our event to another level,” said Leavitt.

Back again this year will be a special cigar bar featuring fine cigars. “This is yet another way in which we are attempting to make the event bigger and better,” said Leavitt. “This will be a great way to become educated about cigars and be able to try them right there.” Patrons who don’t like the smell will not have to worry as smokers will be designated to an outdoor area.

Tickets for the event at $30.00 each or two for $50.00. All food and wine samples are included. Cigars will be charged al la carte. A silent auction will also be part of the event. Tickets are available at Station Wine and Spirits, A Petal For Your Thoughts, Community South as well as online by going HERE. More info can be obtained by calling 615-302-2006.

“In years past this event has sold out so I urge you to get your tickets early,” said Leavitt. “This is truly one event that the community gets excited about every year.”
