The Spring Hill Arts Center is pleased announce casting for it’s upcoming production of Neil Simon’s hilarious comedy Rumors. America's premier comic playwright delighted audiences with this out and out funny offering. Four couples are at the townhouse of a deputy New York City mayor and his wife to celebrate their tenth wedding anniversary. The party never begins because the host has shot himself in the head (it's only a flesh wound) and his wife is missing. His lawyer's cover up, gets progressively more difficult to sustain as the other guests arrive and nobody can remember who has been told what about whom. Doors slam and hilarity abounds as the couples get more and more crazed.
“We are so excited to bring this fast paced comedy to life here in Spring Hill. If there is one thing we have learned about Spring Hill audiences is that they love to laugh. This production will give them plenty of chances for that,” said Spring Hill Arts Center President Joe Leavitt. “With this extremely talented cast and incredibly funny play we will, once again, give Spring Hill a top notch production.”
The cast includes Jamie Guthrie as Chris Gorman, Ron Blackhurst as Ken Gorman, Gina Hagaman as Claire Ganz, Jason Guthrie as Lenny Ganz, Tristan Sullivan as Earnie Cusack, Hannah Maulden as Cookie Cusack, Randy Prlaez as Glenn Cooper, Natalie Hayes as Cassie Cooper, Luke Reynolds will play Officer Welch and Christy Sullivan will portray Officer Pudney.
Performances for Rumors will be May 1,2,3, 9-10 and 16-17 tickets are $10 for Adults and $8 for Students and Seniors. Tickets will be available online at www.springhillarts.org or at the door.
