Mommy and Me Creative Movement – (Instructor: Howell)

Toddlers ages 2 to 3 and parent dance together while focusing on rhythm, movement, music and fun! Learn dance moves for home while developing healthy toddler bodies and coordination. Classes are 45 mins.


Creative Movement – (Instructors: Howell, White, Scherba, Dengler)

Ages 3-5  The children are introduced to the concepts of basic movements, jumping, marching, walking, hopping and made aware of music and rhythm. Exercises for building physical strength and coordination are offered in a nurturing atmosphere. Children gradually learn the discipline required in the ballet studio.      Classes are 45 min.


Pre- ballet-  (Instructors:  Howell, Scherba, Dengler)

Ages 5k-6 The classes are aimed towards building physical strength, correct posture, and flexibility. Furthermore, they aim to develop self-discipline, attention span, and response to rhythm and musical patterns. Classes are 1 hour.


Beginners Ballet (Instructor: Howell)For ages 7-9.

A place for young dancers to learn positions and beginning ballet movements at the barre and center floor in a solidly structured class with discipline towards learning the love of the art of ballet.  Continually working on self-discipline and musical awareness.  Classes are 1 hour.
 


Ballet I, II, II
- (Instructor: Howell)

*by audition or advancement*

Students are systematically taught ballet exercises at the barre and center floor, progressing towards more complex combinations as the levels increase. Pointe classes are introduced in Ballet II, depending on each child’s development. The emphasis of the teaching is on how to stand with the body in alignment, the use of turn-out from the hips, pointing feet without clenching and the coordination of the arms and head movements. Musical awareness is constantly stressed. There will be a placement class to determine what level is appropriate for the student.Ballet I will take 1 day a week for 1 ½ hoursBallet II will take 2 days a week for 1 hourBallet III will take 2 days a week for 1 ½ hours


Adult Intermediate Ballet: (Instructor: Howell)

Class is 1 ½ hours. This class offers dancers who have taken time off to come back into a fully structured ballet class that concentrates on the classical technique that once was within. Full barre work and center.


Hip Hop- (Instructor: Primeaux)

Fun new growing dance form done in a "G" rated style for everyone to enjoy. Classes are for boys and girls. Classes are 1 hour.


Beg. Salsa- (Instructor: Primeaux)

Learn beginning technique to be able to salsa your way on the dance floor. Classes are 1 hour.


Adult Strength, Stretch, and Conditioning: (
Instructor: White)

Hour class will introduce students to basic ballet, proper alignment, and injury prevention through stretching and conditioning the body. Class will include a portion of basic mat Pilates work. Students should bring a mat, water, and towel to class.



Pre Tap (1)
 -  Instructor White

For ages 5-7 years old: 30 minute intro to basic tap steps while focusing on rhythm and coordination.(Instructor: White) 



Beginner Tap  (1)
– (Instructor: White)

For ages 8-10.  1 Hour class introduces basic tap steps while focusing on rhythm and coordination.

 

Intermediate Tap (2)- (Instructor: White)

Audition/Invitational ONLY.

Hour class focusing on rhythm and intermediate tap choreography.


Beginner Modern (Instructor:  White)

For ages 8-up. Hour class that introduces a foundation and terminology in basic modern technique, as well as, a history of modern dance and its pioneers. Students are encouraged to attend at least 1 ballet class a week 


Pre Jazz (1
)- (Instructor: White)

For ages 5-7: Hour class that introduces basic jazz steps accompanied with choreography in classical jazz and hip hop. All classes include stretching and warming up the body, across the floor routines, and choreography.

Beginner Jazz  (1) – (Instructor White)

For ages 8-10.  Hour class that teaches the fundamentals of traditional jazz technique, alignment, and injury prevention. Class structure includes stretching and warming up the body, across the floor routines, and choreography in classical jazz and hip hop.


Teen Beginner Jazz (1)-  (Instructor: White)

Hour class that teaches the fundamentals of classic jazz technique, alignment, and injury prevention. Class structure includes stretching and warming up the body, across the floor routines, and choreography. Teens who have never danced but always wanted to are encouraged to take this class!


Intermediate Jazz (2)- (Instructor: White)

*Audition/Invitational ONLY.

Hour class stresses proper jazz technique, alignment, and injury prevention. Class structure includes detailed warm up, center work, across the floor routines, and choreography in classical jazz, lyrical, and street jazz. Students are encouraged to attend at least 1 ballet class a week.

Private lesson:  (Instructors Howell or White)

Any ages.  30 min lesson to work on specific technique. Cost is $15.00 per ½ hour.
