School of Music Class Descriptions 

Mini Maestros (A)  See Flyer

Ages 18 months to 3 years A delightful introduction to music via books, movement, and of course, singing and instruments.  Children interact with parents or care givers in this hands on, fun and educational experience.   

Mini Maestros (B) 

Ages 3 to 5 years  An age appropriate version of Mini Maestros A.  Care givers not required to stay.  The children will be introduced to beginning music fundamentals as well.  (Notes, rhythms, dynamics, etc…)

Ages 6 to 12 years  Children will have a blast while learning invaluable music skills!  Group singing and basic singing techniques, music fundamentals, basic sight singing skills (solfege), exposure to various musical genres, and the opportunity to perform!   

SHAC Youth Choir 

Ages 13 to 18 years Youth will learn solfege sight singing techniques, brush up on music fundamentals, and have a great time together while preparing music of various genres to perform.  Students will be invited to at least one “field trip” during the season, have opportunities for solo work, and be able to hone their singing skills.

Ages 7 to 12  A youthful approach to basic guitar theory that will have students strumming  and picking melodies in no time.  

 
SHAC Group Guitar (B)

Ages 13 to 18  Garage band, school band, or symphony hall…its your choice with this class!  Students will learn to play rhythm guitar, to solo, and will study all genres of music.
